Injury Stories Wanted!
BIAOR
is interested in stories by Oregon
brain injury survivors, their family
members and friends for publication
in a form that will be useful in
promoting awareness of brain injury,
advocating for government and agency
services, and in fundraising. In
addition, it is hoped that the
stories will be helpful to other
survivors and their families and
friends.
Guidelines and
questions designed to help write
stories:

Keep
it simple (one to three pages;
double-spaced type) |

Include your name, address and
contact information (phone, fax,
email, etc.) so we can contact you

First
person experience. What happened,
how did it affect you & what is it
like today? Traumatic (blows to
the head) and acquired organic
injuries (aneurysms, tumors, etc.)
are both important to us.

you hospitalized? In a coma?
Required surgery? |

rehabilitation services have you
received? |
 |
Were
you informed of BIAOR support
groups? At what stage of
recovery? |
