Vocational Outcomes in Traumatic Brain
Injury Conference 2005
Dates: April 14 - 16, 2005
Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada
A multidisciplinary, International Conference supported by The
University of Calgary, University of Washington, and The Concussion Care
Centre of Virginia, this is the first international conference meant
exclusively for professionals who focus on the specifics of vocational
outcomes in traumatic brain injury.
It will focus solely on vocational outcomes and will highlight programs
and interventions that are proven to be successful in getting people
back into the workforce.
Returning to work is one of the most important issues facing survivors
of traumatic brain injury. The program’s goal is to present state of the
art information supported by evidence-based research, quality program
evaluation and integrated disease state management. Presentations will
cover the range of impairment, from mild to severe.
Speakers include:
Jack Dial, PhD
Paul Deutsch, PhD
Robert Fraser, PhD
George ‘Brick’ Johnstone, PhD
Jeffrey Kreutzer, PhD
Michelle McKerral, PhD
Brian McMahon, PhD
Michael Martelli, PhD
Catherine Mateer, PhD
Nathan Zasler, PhD
This conference will provide the catalyst for attendees to share their
knowledge and create a new and exciting synergy in the field of
vocational outcomes.
Other activities: a full-day pre-conference on cognitive remediation; a
poster session (submissions being accepted until March 1); choice of two
presentation tracks in the afternoons; and a compendium of presented
papers.
