The Brain Injury Association of Oregon will be celebrating our 10th Annual Brunch and Auction Fundraiser, on Sunday, December 5, 2010. The annual auction is the biggest, and only, fundraiser for BIAOR. Your initiation to this fund and exciting event, which included brunch, auction, and a ticket for this adventure is included. Cost for this occasion is $100.00. We’ve all read and heard about the increase in brain injury occurring in individuals from high school athletes to thousands of returning military. Did you know…
BIAOR – The Brain Injury Association of Oregon has worked hard to meet the needs of these individuals for over 25 years. Please assist this essential nonprofit organization continue to serve individuals and their families suffering the effects of brain injury, as well as educate professionals in all areas, as to the newest and most effective preventions and treatments, remaining updated with fast paced brain injury research being accomplished. BIAOR provides services to individuals with brain injuries and their families, including: - regional and annual conferences - scholarships for conferences provided to individuals with brain injury ? monthly group support meetings - quarterly newsletter - active legislative advocacy - toll-free information and referral services for survivors, families and professionals - BIAOR has served over 220,000 individuals and families in Oregon over 25 years. - BIAOR is comprised of primarily volunteers dedicated to educating professionals, schools, legislators, and the community in recognizing signs of brain injury and how prevention can protect. Please help us in our sole fundraising event of the year. If you have any question, call Sherry 503-740-3155. Each year the BIAOR raises funds and awareness for individuals who have sustained brain injuries and the services that BIAOR provides. This year, as we celebrate our ninth anniversary of our brunch, holiday activity and auction fundraiser, we are asking you to join us in the celebration. A sneak preview of the auction highlights include: A guided backpacking tour, numerous weekend getaways, a Columbia Gorge cruise on the Sternwheeler, tickets to the 2010 U of O civil war game, ski lift tickets and ski packages, tickets to all the Portland professional sporting events, golfing packages to some of Oregon’s most elite private golf clubs, family packages, dinners, plays, concerts, books and movies, tickets to rodeos, private shooting lessons from an instructor at the Portland Firearms Training Team, 100 balloons and much more.Support Our Fundraising EffortsThe Annual Brunch, Activity and Auction is BIAOR's only major fundraiser. The proceeds are applied to the BIAOR's operating expenses, and are written into the yearly operating budget. These funds assist us in meeting many of our growing organization’s crucial needs, including our increased outreach efforts to returning military sustaining brain injuries, and our increasing number of support groups throughout the state.
